Docue offers three APIs. The Platform API and the Forms API work with your Docue.com workspace. The Embed API is a separate product for building Docue's drafting and signing features into your own product.
The Platform API connects your system to your Docue.com workspace. You can draft documents from templates and prefill their values, send documents for signing, retrieve signed documents, and manage the document archive. Everything you create is available in your workspace at https://app.docue.com.
The Forms API automates sending Docue Forms. You can list your forms, send them to recipients by email, and follow their progress. Documents drafted from completed forms are stored in your Docue.com workspace.
The Embed API lets system providers and resellers offer Docue's features inside their own branded products, without a Docue.com account. It includes Legal Engine for drafting documents from lawyer-maintained templates, and Sign Engine for collecting electronic signatures on PDF documents. The Embed API has no access to Docue.com workspaces, and it does not store documents long term, so your system must store the documents your users create or sign.
